The Villetta Belvedere degli Olivi is
situated northwest of Spello, near the Assisi limits.
To reach it, take the motorway or drive along the little
country road, winding through olive groves, known as
“stradetta di Assisi” where, between one curve and the
next, you can catch a glimpse of the magnificent Rocca
di Assisi.
It is in a privileged position, shadowed by the famous
"Maestà di Mascicone", an ancient shrine where Blessed
Angela of Foligno, great mystic of the Middle Ages,
stopped to pray during a pilgrimage to Assisi and was
raptured in ecstasy.
The Villetta is built of lithographic stone from Mount
Subasio and it is surrounded by silver waves: olive
trees, growing with almond, cherry and pomegranate trees.
Scattered, here and there, a few villas. A rare oasis of
tranquillity.
There are two apartments at our Guests’ disposal. One is
located on the first floor of the villa. It comprises a
spacious living room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a
kitchen, a garden, a barbecue and covered terraces with
panoramic views.
The other apartment is entirely independent, surrounded
by olives and pine trees. It affords every comfort and
is particularly suitable for a couple. The cottage is
intimate and cosy and the spacious, sunny terrace facing
south, away from intrusive eyes, makes the alcove
especially intriguing. |
